Practice Manager

Kari

Kari is our Practice Manager. She does it all! She answers the phones, she helps clients schedule appointments, get checked in, get checked out, she does all of the ordering, she coordinates the daily flow, she jumps in when our nurses need help, she keeps the doctors on task...she runs the show! She studied Business Managment at Fresno City College and then at Cal State Sonoma. She recently sat for the board and received her RVT license (registered veterinary technician). She has over 14 years of experience in veterinary medicine and her interests include emergency/critical care and pain management. Kari has 4 cats and three dogs named Vader, Yoda and Lily.  In her free time, she is working with her husband Max on remodeling their house and working in the garden.

Front Office

Heather

Heather is our front office manager/lead receptionist. She answers phones, gets clients checked in and into exam rooms, helps fill prescriptions, answers general questions, schedules appointments, ensures smooth communications between our doctors and clients, she makes sure that our clients understand the services their pets receive and she strives to make the entire veterinary visit as pleasant as possible. Heather takes pride in working in a hospital that provides high quality medical care and excellent customer service. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Santa Rosa Junior College. Heather is also a freelance make up artist with over 10 years of experience working for various photographers in fashion and film. She and her wife, Jen, enjoy hiking and camping and walking their two dogs, Dita and Norma Jean.

Jennifer

Jennifer is one of our receptionists in the front office. She helps clients understand the services that we offer both at our hospital and at our rehabilitation center, and coordinates communication between our referral hospitals. Jennifer began working in the animal field at the locally-based pet store Pet Food Express, which specializes in high quality holistic and organic products. It was through their extensive food, nutrition, and product training programs that she learned the important differences between higher and lower quality pet foods and the importance of good nutrition. Jennifer has always loved animals and enjoys watching our patient's progress! She enjoys music, dancing, reading, movies, exploring San Francisco, and spending time with her cats Pidgeon and Cleo, and her Boston Terrier, Raven.

David

David is a veterinary assistant to Dr. Goldfarb. He helps clients and their pets get the most out of their visit with the veterinarian. He keeps records up to date, fills prescriptions, calls you after your visit to make sure all of you questions and concerns have been addressed and keeps the doctor on schedule as much as possible. He is also cross trained as a receptionist. David received his Associate of Science degree from Empire College in Business Systems. His areas of interest include Chinese herbs, Bach flower remedies, nutritional support, microstim and hydro therapy. When David is not in the clinic he enjoys hiking, biking, camping and reading. His family includes his wife, Jessica, his kids, Felix and Freya, their dog, Winky and their cat, Blackstar.

Nurses

Angie

Angie is a veterinary nurse and is also cross trained as a receptionist. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Santa Rosa Junior College, has worked in the veterinary profession for over 8 years working primarily in dentistry and is a member of the American Society of Veterinary Dental Technicians. Angie's interests include dentistry, oral surgery, pain management and client education. Ask Angie about your pet's teeth! She has recently moved back to Marin from New Orleans. Angie has an aussie named, Mae and a chihuahua named, Canteen. Her pastimes include hiking, running and cooking vegan dishes with friends and family.

Armeti

Armeti graduated from UCSB in 2008 with a degree in Molecular Cellular & Developmental Biology. She has 6 Years in the Veterinarian field and just recently moved to San Rafael with her best friend Kai. Armeti has two rats (Rock & Natasha), one dog (Tiger) and a Beta Fish named Sushi. She is applying to Vet school this year and has a special interest in dentistry & anesthesia. In her free time she loves cooking, hiking, arts and crafts.

Monica

Monica is currently a student at Cal State Sacramento and she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in biology.  She is involved in the first Pre-Vet club at CSUS!  She has been working in the field of veterinary medicine for approximately 6 years.  When she can find some spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and being outdoors.  She has a Siamese cat named Babe.

Kelly

Kelly's passion for animals began at a young age and she has been in the veteriary field for 8 years, most recently as a nurse.  She is currently pursing an Associate of Science degree at Santa Rosa Junior College.  Her interests include canine behavior and canine/feline dentistry.  Her free time is spent with her American Bulldog, Enzo and she loves hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

Rehabilitation and Pain Management

Please visit www.goldengaitcanine.com for information on our Rehabilitation and Pain Management facility. The services provided at that facility are Acupuncture, Physical Rehabilitation, Underwater Treadmill and Cold Laser Therapy.
